First-Year Academic Advising

We are pleased to offer our newly admitted incoming first-year students many opportunities to connect with members of the Office of the Registrar to ensure you are adequately supported both during the time leading up to your arrival on campus, and after classes begin in September.  These include our Trin101 online summer program and one-on-one advising.  You can speak with an advisor in the Office of the Registrar at any time to ask questions or to discuss academic, financial, or personal issues.  You can make an appointment by emailing trinity.registrar@utoronto.ca.

Program Enrollment Advising

The Office of the Registrar provides advising on how to choose or change your program through one-on-one sessions, where you can discuss individual plans.  When looking for advice and information around programs and program enrollment, in addition to the Office of the Registrar, don’t forget to use resources such as the Peer Advisors, the Academic Dons, and the program faculty and staff. These are all the right people to ask questions to and find out more about the programs you are interested in!

The Faculty of Arts & Science also provides a lot of the information you need through their Program Toolkit.

All students are encouraged to book an advising session at any time if you are considering adding, dropping, or changing programs, as program changes may have a dramatic effect on your degree requirements. To make an appointment or for more information, please contact the Office of the Registrar at trinity.registrar@utoronto.ca.
